Well I am going to be shooting a scene in my new film ‘JUDD’ in which the star of the film is premiering his new film and I need a whole bunch of extras to be in front of/inside the theatre. Not only do you get to wear wild gear, be in a fake porn film but you also get to chose a fake porno name for the credits!

This means instead of the credits rolling and simply having your name…..extra 1 or extra 2, it will have you name then your own chosen made up porn star name!

I made a facebook group for all the wonderful enthusiastic extras, so I can keep you updated on the shoot date.

'Hey it's me Jackie Chan and Will Smith's son! Check out our new movie!'

Remakes are usually terrible, but sometimes tolerable. When doing a remake the director/marketing team must decide exactly how much of the movie they will actually ‘re-make’. For example they cast Jackie Chan, who hasn’t had a good movie in over a decade. Well lets see…. who are we going to cast as the main charector? A young black child, Will Smith’s young black child to be exact. Isee this is an awful reciepe for a remake. How bad do you think it will be?

N.O.L.A

New Orleans, LA is like no other place on earth. If you consider yourself well traveled as far as our united states is concerned and have not been to New Orleans then you truly haven’t seen anything yet.

New orleans is a very special place for a few reasons, first of all it has old, strange traditions, as do many cities in the south. People talk and move slow in the south for a reason. The humidity in the summer is devastating, thus creating a very laid back environment. Also many people, especially in California make vast assumptions about the south and their practices/beliefs. The arcitecture, music, art and Mardi Gras are all very old qualities about New Orleans that gives it an incredibly rich diverse culture, one that has many influences.

The people. As far as southern hospitality goes New Orleans is no where short of amazing. If your ready for a home cooked meal, a drink, directions/suggestions for a near by place to feast, the people of New Orleans have got you covered. On numerous occasions I have gotten directions from police and young kids alike. Their suggestions, as most food in New Orleans, was amazing.

Family Mardi Gras celebrations.

Mardi Gras. This past year when I was in town for the 2010 Mardi Gras, following the Saints first ever Super bowl victory, I was talking to a Lousianna local on the side of a parade route. He told me he was in the Navy and had been to every major annual party that most countries had to offer, Brazil, Japan, Chinese New Year in China etc, and said that hands down, Mardi Gras is the most fun out of them all. He then began to agree with me that this Mardi Gras was a celebration of this city picking it self back up, and how much the super bowl victory boosted moral.

I myself have never seen so many happy people in one place, and also have never had a more fun time in my entire life than on that trip. One assumption that people hold with Mardi Gras is that it’s a topless sleaze fest filled with drunken stupors. Now in certain parts of town this is true. However, that is merely a select few blocks. If one, or thier family, wishes not to see this side of mardi gras, it’s easily avoidable. Bourbon Street is where the real crazy naughiness goes on. Other parts of the city are filled with familes grillin, chillin, catching beads and watching the crazy floats roll on by.

Jazz Fest Crowd

Jazz Fest. Besides hosting the most epic party fest, the spring time in New Orleans is much more relaxed as the biggest Jazz festival in North American happens. The New Orleans Jazz and heritage Festival. The lineup always includes a wide variety of music, not just jazz. This year featured everyone from Drake to Neil Young. Also the Jazz Fest features some incredible crafts and food vendors. It has been called the very best jazz festival by Life magazine and is always a truly amazing time.
